  3. The coffee maker cannot brew with K-cups manufactured before July 2014.

VERDICT

If it’s your first time to buy Keurig products and you love greater control over the brewing of your coffee, you will love this coffee maker.

However, if you already have a Keurig coffee maker in your home or office this 2.0 series is not worth an upgrade.

Although it is nice it has many restrictions that you might not like. For instance, you cannot use K-Cups that are older with this new machine and you will have to buy new ones.

I bought the Keurig k575 coffee maker because I was tired of running to the coffee shop all the time to get hold of my best coffee. Before buying it I did a research and chose to buy it because it was highly celebrated and I felt it was the best out there on the market. So does it really fit this verdict? Let’s find out.

Design

This Keurig K575 comes with the platinum features found in the 2.0 new series brewing technology. It’s 80 oz. the reservoir is the largest in the 2.0 series. The new look of the brewer is good with a better finish.

The main feature that makes it different from the other Keurig brewers is the touchscreen that has many features working well. It has features that make it easy to use and more than 500 different options that will help you create a great cup of coffee with the coffee grounds that you want.

The coffee maker comes with a 6 count K-cup variety pack and two water filters and a handle for the water filter. It is designed that it can only accept K-cup, K-cup mugs and K-carafe lids. The brewing of your coffee is still simple with this device as you only need to lift the brew head and add the K-cup or K-carafe and you are ready to brew your coffee.

Features

Keurig K575 Coffee Maker

1. No Need for Constant Refills

The K-carafe pack can brew 22 to 30 oz. at a time in less than five minutes and it can give you 4 to 5 fresh cups of brewed coffee. You can also choose to use the regular K-cups that can brew 4 to 12 oz. this takes less than 55 seconds.

The 80 oz. the reservoir can be used with a filter which means you can brew even two carafes without refilling the reservoir. The lid of the reservoir can be opened a little rather than removing it to refill the coffee maker. If you prefer brewing your own coffee grounds Keurig had introduced the reusable filters but these reusable pods are only available for the K-cups.

2. Strength and Temperature

The brewer also gives you the option to select brewing strength from mild to strong. This means the coffee you brew is in line with your taste. There is an option to select different attitudes customizing your coffee to suitable attitudes. Coffee aficionados will love the feature that allows you to change the brew temperature giving a different texture to the coffee.

3. Pre-Brewed Coffee Feature A Plus

The touch screen in the brewer is a plus as you can use it to program the brewer to start brewing at a given time. This will ensure you get pre-brewed coffee, especially in the morning when you get up. The display also allows you to change the device color, language, and wallpaper.

4. You Can Brew Other Beverages In Addition To Coffee

Carafe packs of other drinks such as cocoa or hot chocolate are available with this coffee maker. There is a number on the pack that you need to select which alters the brewing in line with the drink you want to make.

The fact that with this brewer you can get different types of drinks and also change the technique of brewing is a feature that most people underrate.

The Keurig Brand Restriction

The 2.0 series can only accept Keurig branded K-cups. This is a great restriction and has not augured well with the customers of this brand. This is because other pods from third parties are not only cheap but have various options that the K-cups from Keurig does not have.

Additionally, if you have older Keurig K-cups manufactured before July 2014 they will not be compatible with the new 2.0 series Keurig brewers. This is a great injustice for consumers who have stocks of these cups with them. The auto brew feature among other features cannot be used on the regular K-cups but only with the K-carafes.

Bottom Line: Does Keurig K575 Coffee Maker worth?

The only thing that makes this brewer not to be a great success is the fact that it is restrictive in nature. Other than that, I enjoyed the experience I had using this brewer. I now see why it is so highly celebrated.

The feature that stood out for me was the pre-brew feature especially because I am one person who likes to find a hot cup of coffee prepared for me in the morning, guess I now have that problem sorted.
